A SpecRite panel and two steel legs used to create a narrow hallway table.

The project

The entry to the house via double doors is 1800 x 1400mm, which is a hard place to fit a hall table for keys, etc. I discovered this SpecRite panel with one side live edge at Bunnings, plus two furniture legs.

I easily cut the panel down with a hacksaw to 18cm wide. I have anchored the bench from below with a metal angle to a wall stud for sturdiness. I am deciding whether to paint or stain at this stage and will probably repeat on the other side, which will be an even narrower bench width.

I'm happy with the result and thought I'd share. Cheers.

Good morning @Carmel1955

 So handy to have that table there, The best bit is it cant rack up excess stuff  I noticed the door stopper on the skirting board, do you have a soft bump edge on the back of the door where it can touch the table?
