This clever project turned a vintage sewing machine stand into a stylish and functional dressing table.

The project
I was always passionate about antique and vintage stuff. Since I moved to Australia I have found lots of vintage furniture, such as this vintage treadle sewing machine.
I bought it from Facebook Marketplace and dismantled it. The challenge was to make a wooden box to fit into the hole where the sewing machine was.

I wanted to play with chalk paint so I bought Rust-Oleum Chalked paint in linen white for the wooden parts and Dulux spray paint for the cast iron parts.

It looks charming and is very practical to use as a dressing table.
