An outdoor entertainment area with fire pit and D.I.Y. benches built using timber sleepers.
The project
A sloping part of the garden was turned into a relaxing area to watch the sunset over the gully. Excavating and building a retaining wall using treated pine sleepers, with gravel backfill, and plumbing for drainage to build up a 6 x 6m area with compacted gravel ground cover. Benches are home made with Sienna treated sleepers, and stainless steel wire rope fencing allows for maximum view. A perfect place for star gazing under a clear evening sky.
