This planter box with bench seating clad using decking boards was built as part of a backyard makeover and new deck build.
The project
Building this planter box was part of a comprehensive backyard makeover.
We put the planter boxes in first to provide us with the basis for our deck height. It was also a place for us to put all of the soil we dug out of the existing garden. We used treated Pine sleepers and clad the boxes with decking boards, and used the decking to also create bench seating on the planters.
In the grand scheme of things, it probably took a day to build this planter box with the sleepers and then the cladding took another day to set up.
