I currently have a shed slab that has a 54cm gap between this slab and the house stab. I need to find the best solution to fill this gap, being 54cm wide, 15cm deep and 150cm length, to allow for a ride on to be removed from the shed itself.
Thanks
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @tatt1ben. It's marvellous to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about filling a gap.
It would be really helpful if you could share a photo or two to show the gap, as that would make it easier to confirm the best approach. Let me know if you need a hand uploading images.
From your description, though, it sounds like filling the area with concrete would be the most straightforward and durable solution. A solid concrete infill will easily handle the weight of your ride-on mower and create a smooth transition between the two slabs. You can set up some simple formwork on the exposed sides to contain the pour, then fill the gap using premixed concrete. Level it off to match the existing slab heights and allow it to cure properly before driving over it. It’s a job that could likely be completed in half a day and will provide a permanent fix.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
