I'm looking to build a timber shed base. The shed is 3m x 3m normal corrugated sheets.
Was going to build a frame just to give some height from the ground then sheets on top to secure the shed.
Just wondering what the best options are to buy from bunnings?
Hello @hjt1701
Thanks for sharing your question about your shed base. I propose looking at 140 x 45mm Outdoor Framing H3 Treated Pine - 4.8m for the framing and using 90 x 22mm Decking H3 Treated Pine for the surface of the shed base. This would be a cost-effective method of building it as the materials are all rated for outdoor use. To secure the wooden shed base, I recommend using 100x100 timber posts placed into concrete footings in the ground.
I also suggest looking at these guides - How to build a low-level deck by @Adam_W and How to build a deck by @MitchellMc. These guides will give you ideas on how to build your shed base frame.

Hi @hjt1701,
The preferred base for your shed is a concrete slab, as it's the most stable and durable option, often recommended by shed suppliers. While a timber base can work, a concrete slab will provide a stronger, more permanent foundation that reduces the risk of moisture damage and shifting over time.
For more details, check out this article on How to pour a concrete slab.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
