Hello, need to stop water leaking into my shed, fall of the water always runs toward the shed, would anyone suggest a channel drain. Thank you for any help
Hello @vasilis
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your shed.
I propose installing an Everhard 3m EasyDRAIN Compact Polymer Grate And Channel to divert any water coming towards your shed. As a preventative measure, I also suggest installing a Premier Blue 5.2m Garage Door Floor Seal to prevent any water from coming through should it get past the channel drain.
Please note that you'll need the services of a plumber should you link the channel drain to your storm water drain for safety and compliance.
Let me call on our experienced members @Dave-1 and @Nailbag for their recommendations.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Good Evening @vasilis
Ive been waiting a few weeks for this type of question to pop up
I had this pop up in my facebook feed (the link is not to facebook but to the shed company) Ive been searching for solutions for people with sheds and water entering underneath overthe past few months and since the algorisim feed us what we search for
well it gave me shed sealing stuff for vermin but also waterproofing. I figure use it for our advantage ![]()
Shedblog.com.au and that link will takeyou to retrofitting an existing shed, not sure how well it seals but definently a path to have a look into.
However a right angled bracket pushed through from the inside to outside with the flat piece on the comcrete will also work to a resonable degree. Plus that rubber seal that @EricL has linked across the doorway would seal the shed. (Both used in conjuction with silastic of course)
I would try that type of fix before cutting the slot in the concrete slab for a drainage channel to be installed. That will work as well, just harder to impliment.

Hi @vasilis
A channel drain will mean cutting the concrete hard up against the shed and the width of the drain out. Because the walls are not overhanging the drain, you would then need an external flashing system like the one @Dave-1 linked to direct the water off the walls and into the drain. That system only works on sheds built on the edge of a slab. So, the Channel drain replicates that scenario.
I assume you have flooded the internal bottom edge of the shed where not meets the slab with silicone? I have a 3m x 4m shed with no gutters and on a flat slab to 3 sides and have done this and get no water ingress.

Hello, I have heard from a plumber that channel drain would collapse under the weight of the water tank which is full
Hello @vasilis
I recommend perhaps moving the water tank to another location or limiting the drain channels run and keep it away from the water tank.
