Hi @Maymay
Thank fully damage not to great yet I would use no liquid nails to glue behind the cornice be very care full to just place the glue on the wall and press the cornice onto glue.
Press the cornice on to the glue it wont stick right awy so let the wall transfer some glue and let it sit 10 minutes then re press cornice to the wall this time it should hold like using contact cement. Just to be sure drill a screw or two under the cornice to hold it weight in place by morning it will be fixed.
Remove screws.
Clean up any loose paint egdes and peeling and use no more gaps into the cornice and wall joins , use caulking gun and push excess in with finger if necessary till smooth
A clean wet WHITE cloth will let you wipe away any excess and you may not have to repaint the wall egdes.
Always use white clothes for white area clean ups so you know they are clean. Dark clothes can mark white areas.
Hope its fixed soon
as that cornice has moved ?? might be wise to check the rest of the room for problems

Thank you @Jewelleryrescue has provided some great advice for me, already maintained 😊
thanks a lot
That looks fantastic @Maymay. I'm sure you are very pleased with those results.
Well done!
@Jewelleryrescue thank you for the advice. I found this forum thread using Google. I fixed my cornice and it looks great! I left the screws in for extra grip.
The glue was very hard to get out of the tube but I got it done.
Hi @DickyKnee,
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you with us.
I'm so glad that @Jewelleryrescue's advice proved useful for your own repair. I am sure he will be delighted to hear that he could help.

Hi @DickyKnee
@JacobZ is right I am pleased your repair is a total success we are here to help not hinder.
Also, great you used screws as well so the glue can fully dry.
Yes the small tube of glue I recommended is hard to get the glue out of I try to keep costs of repairs down for people, sorry about that.
Maybe for the future we get you to invest in a Caulking gun as it will take the harder squeezing work out of the job and the caulking tubes will allow you to squirt it right in where you need it, A caulking gun will also be therefore any future repair jobs at need. i referred you to a more expensive gun as the super cheap ones are not quite as good.
The only negative with caulking guns and tubes is often the remainder of the glue and stuff in the tube will dry out once it is opened even it you try capping it. The way to avoid waste is to line up a few repairs at once a use the tube up as the tubes around $20 each these days.
Thanks, I'll keep that in mind next time I need to get sticky. 🙂
