I would like to install a wire shelving system in the garage which has brick walls. The track to be attached to the wall has holes which are 8mm in diameter and are 20cm apart. What would be the best type of fixing to use given that the shelves will have to hold heavy items e.g. bikes?
Hi @electrictiffey,
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you with us.
Generally, shelving systems like this will have recommended fixings for a variety of different situations. I'd suggest the best place to start is by checking the installation instructions for the shelving system to see if they have any recommendations.
If you can advise which particular shelving system you are using, and it is a Bunnings product, I would be happy to check their installation requirements and advise.
Considering the weight-bearing requirements, it is likely they will call for fairly robust fixings such as Ramset 8 x 65mm DynaBolt Plus Hex Nut Bolts or Ramset 8 x 60mm Galvanised AnkaScrew Masonry Anchors.
