Hi!
We got our (colourbond) garage flashings installed today and it is a completely different colour to our garage door and the garage shell. The flashing is in Red Manor while the door is Terrain.
We were told to paint the flashing to match the door. How do we go about this?
Thank you
Hello @Archnaah
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about painting your garage flashing.
On the condition that the flashing is made of metal, the surface of the flashing must be sanded down to create a rough surface. Once the surface has been sanded properly, I recommend wiping it clean and removing all the sanding dust. The primer can then be applied and once it cures the top coat can then be placed over the primer. I propose using the White Knight Rust Guard painting system to repaint your flashing.
Here is a handy step-by-step guide: How To Paint Metal
