Hi everyone, we used the DY-Mark 8L Carrara Grey Epoxy Coat Garage Floor Kit on our garage floor about 2 years ago, following all preparation and application instructions carefully (etching, cleaning and allowing full cure time). Overall it has held up well, but we’ve recently noticed the coating lifting specifically in spots where car tyres turn when we straighten/adjust parking (yes I know we shouldn't bit unfortunatley we have).
I understand that hot tyre pickup can happen, although it’s not something we do often. The lifting is only in several small patches, not the whole floor.
Could you please advise:
How to repair only the affected areas without redoing the whole garage floor?
Whether you recommend a particular prep and touch-up method (e.g. sanding, re-etching, primer, recoat)?
If a topcoat or sealer is recommended to help prevent this happening again.
