How to replace a laundry ceiling?

The original fibro ceiling lining in the outdoor laundry was removed years ago & the laundry's  been subject to a fair bit of moisture/fluctuating temperatures over the years...

Power cables run across the roof & down the brick wall to the power points (all managed by an electrician).

The metal sheeting is in good nick & the original timber is being assessed but should the plaster board ceiling be replaced?

Re: Laundry roof

Good afternoon @Else

It is a bit hard to determine if your structure can carry the load of a plaster ceiling without a few more photos.

- An overall look at the ceiling area, trusses and supports plus size.

- The walls and how they are made up also play a roll so a photo of that would also help determine what can be done.

I am sure you will get some suggestions once we have a bit more information.

Re: Laundry roof

Hello @Else

I agree with @Dave-1, would it be possible for you to take a photo of the entire laundry roof to give us an idea of its structure? Once our members get a better look, we'll be able to offer recommendations on how to proceed.

If you need further assistance, please let us know.
