What innovative techniques @AndrewJones Great results! I particularly liked how you used the pen kit. What is the wood you used? Coupled with the aluminium and boiled linseed oil it looks superb.
This is an interesting approach and I did see this sort of video on the internet a bit before I bought a lathe. I would be concerned about the safety of this. I guess it's about the level of risk you are prepared to take.
