Hi there,
I'm looking for some recommendations and suggestions on wall exhaust fans I can install into a kitchen I have in a weekender shed on my farm.
I have circled the location that I would like to install the fan so the fan can be run off a new GPO (with extra switch) below. Was looking at 150mm fans, the wall width there is 355mm and the window reveal is approx 100mm. Is it possible to install a fan into a shallow wall cavity?
Any suggestions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Jase
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @JaseM. It's wonderful to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about installing a wall fan.
100mm depth is fairly compact for a 150mm fan. The smallest depth I've been able to find would be the HPM 150mm 29W Heavy Duty Wall Exhaust Fan, which appears to be at 120mm. That would take into account the front internal cover proud of the wall, so it will come very close to the 100mm depth you require within the wall. You'll also need to use the grate on the outside wall to prevent rain from entering the unit.
If you speak with an electrical team member at your closest store, they will be able to measure the stock they have for suitability and check technical drawings of any items that might need to be Special Ordered.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

thanks Mitchell, I'll have a look when I'm next in store.
