Love my pegboard

I saw a post by @lcooksey88 showing his cool shed setup in this group. He used some pinnacle pegboards so I decided to give them a go also. I bought x1 pinnacle pegboard home and was so impressed I was back at bunnings the next day to buy another one hahahah. Definatly a fan here looks like you can buy lots of different attachments for the pegboards too like screwdriver holders, small shelf, spanner holders etc too, reckon I'll be getting a third pegboard and some more attachments soon and probably some more storage   Easy way to tidy up the tools a bit and looks nice and clean    I used these pinnacle pegboards as they were 1810 wide, and my wall studs are 600 so worked a treat https://www.bunnings.com.au/pinnacle-1810-x-410mm-matte-black-metal-pegboard_p0147740

Re: Love my pegboard

Great set up Prawns(?). You've inspired me.

I've been set on replacing my pegboard with french cleat system (added in pic below before I took it down).

Reason being I just can't find decent enough pegs but maybe need to do more investigation as seems that bunnings has a variety of decent ones. Also the fact that there's going to be a lot of work involved making all the holders for my tools with a french cleat system and I just want to get hanging so I can do my real woodwork instead.

Final thing: My studs in my garage are a mess. They used to have shelves on them, that I recently ripped off, with the plan to add a french cleat system from that plug on the brick wall in the pic below, to the end of the wall. But those studs are not plumb at all, really uneven and not flush to the wall, so a lot of work involved there. Will face the same problem adding a pegboard right across, but think less headache than adding a whole french cleat backboard, then the cleats themselves and everything else involved with it.

Ash.

Re: Love my pegboard

Hello @mrpatel

As I mentioned in my last post there is a large variety of pegboard hooks from Pinnacle Pegboard Hooks, Everhang Pegboard Hooks and Zenith Zinc Plated Assorted Pegboard Hooks Kit - 47 Pack. My best advice is to get the hook that suits the object you are hanging. Using hooks that don't provide proper support will simply fall off.

Installing a French cleat system is an excellent way to hold your tools and still keep it easy to organize. My best advice is to invest in a laser guide to make sure that your cleats are level and straight.

If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Eric
