Thought I would put this up. Here is a mobile workbench I built for the garage. It's 1840mm long X 660mm wide and 860mm high. It's made all out of 18mm ply, with 17mm formply as the top, for glue ups and easy to clean. It has a mdf torsion top to keep it flat and level. The draws a shallow for sitting my regular used tools. I will put my photos up when I can

Hi @Razzer,
I always love seeing the different designs people use for their workbenches. Ultimately, they are a bunch of timber cut and screwed together, but there is something wonderfully personal about them.
Yours looks nice and sturdy, with plenty of storage, wheels for manoeuvrability and a slick top for glue ups and ease of moving materials.
I hope to see some further projects as a direct result of your new workbench.
Thank you for sharing. I am sure your workbench will serve you well.

Looks great love the wood you used and the draws 🥰
Looks terrific @Razzer
Love the functionality of the design with its storage elements and the finish quality looks top notch. Well done 👍

Afternoon @Razzer
I had just seen your entertainmnet unit and had already opend this tab, as soon as I saw the style I went "I wonder"
Yep sure enough it was yours lol
I would be very happy to have a workbench like yours, You really do some fine timber work.
I ha dto look up what a "mdf torsion top to keep it flat and level" was, as soon as I saw it I remembered. So the question becomes, what are you making that requires such a level top? Or is it something that you find is just easier to work with?
I need one ![]()

Gday @Dave-1
I still have more things to put up, once I have finished building them. There's plenty of cabinets in the shed now. I just take my time to make sure it's perfect.....sometimes lol
It makes it alot easier to build stuff with a level surface. Plus I also do some welding on the top aswell. A torsion top is so easy to make and makes it easier as an out feed table. I've even done my mobile table saw/router bench the same aswell. Some pics of that build will come once its completed.
All work and no play, makes it harder to finish projects.
Evening @Razzer
I have a rule that I make myself follow for that type of reason. I am only allowed (in my head) to have -
- One inside project
- One frontyard project,
- One backyard/sideyard project.
Otherwise I would end up with too many started ones.
Looking forward to seeing the rest.
