Hi. I have just bought an Ozito 12v cordless drill. Could I use the battery from that in an Ozito 18v Circular saw or other Ozito power tool.
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @juliet133zoo. It's fantastic to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about Ozito batteries. It could be that the battery has failed or the charger has stopped working. You might like to take the drill, battery, and charger to your nearest Bunnings store, and a team member will be able to look at them for you. If it's still under warranty and you have your proof of purchase, they'll swap it over for a new unit. Please let me know if you have any questions.Mitchell
Hi,
I am using Ozito PXCLMK-018 with x2 batteries 18V - 3Ah. Is it ok to use x2 batteries 18V - 4Ah?
Thank you
Hello @HungH
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your Ozito mower.
It's perfectly ok to use the 18V-4Ah batteries as they will provide a longer run time. I have a similar mower and I use both types of Ozito batteries.
If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.
Eric
Does anyone know where I can get one of these batteries or a converter/alternative? I absolutely love these tools - being female and on the older side, these tools are so light and easy to use!!! Sadly, I’m down to one battery- the other is totally dead. Any ideas anyone?
Afternoon @oldgirlhavnago
😕 Not so great news I suspect. I use to have the green ozito battery powered drill and it rocked. By the time it dies on my the battery packs were no longer being manufactured and I havnt seen any since.
The Current red Ozioto batteries are guarenteed to stay in model for serveral more years at least.
Maybe the Bunnings staff will be able to point to a replacemet modle instead.
Dave
Hello @oldgirlhavnago
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's wonderful to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your Ozito batteries.
I remember this model with the green tag. Allow me to make some inquiries with our supplier and see if they have any recommendations regarding this battery. As soon as I have more information, I'll get back to you.
Thank you for your patience. I received a reply from Ozito today and I'm sorry, but this product is no longer being produced. Unfortunately, the new range is not compatible with your tool set. I can only suggest doing a search online and hopefully find a similar battery.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.
Thanks for trying Eric.
My Ozito 36 valt battery is ok only the charger is not and is needed for my Ozito 36 valt lawm mower
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @12345abcdefg. It's terrific to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about Ozito battery chargers. If you can provide your battery's model number, I can call Ozito to check the availability of a replacement charger. As far as I'm aware, there is just one 36V battery and charger, so you should be able to see the helpful team at your local Bunnings store's Special Orders desk, and they can place an order. However, I'd like to double-check that first, or the team at Special Orders can do that for you at the time of placing your order. Please let me know if you have any questions.Mitchell
I'm interested in buying Ozito Cordless Vacuum Cleaner PXC 18V (skin only) which is the best recommended battery and charger and how much are they. My nearest Bunnings is Tweed Heads and they don't have this in stock. Can I order it?
Hi @Rogere,
Thank you for your question and welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is great to have you with us.
Ozito offer a variety of batteries and chargers catering to different customer needs. The great thing is that the vast majority of Ozito tools are on the PXC battery platform, so the batteries you choose will be compatible with a huge range of powertools, garden tools and accessories. Two options you should consider are the Ozito PXC 18V 2.5Ah Battery and Charger PXBC-25B - Kit and the Ozito PXC 18V 2 x 4.0Ah Batteries And Multi Charger Pack.
The 2.5Ah battery and charger kit is great option if low cost is your main preference. The downside to this kit is that there is only one battery, with a lower capacity and a charger with one charging slot. If you are not planning on using the vacuum for extended periods, this is a cost-effective option for you.
The 2 x 4.0Ah battery and charger kit is more expensive, but it comes with 2 x higher capacity batteries and a dual charger, so you can have one battery in the vacuum, while the other is charging, allowing for greater run time and usability.
I'd suggest giving Tweed Heads a call to see if they have any stock on order or if they can get one in from another store. Our Ozito lines are fast movers, so it is likely that if they are out of stock, they will be getting more in soon or there is one floating at another store nearby that they can assist you with getting.
Let me know if you have any other questions that I can assist with.
Jacob
I thought I'd follow up for you to check stock availability at Bunnings Tweed Heads. I do apologise, but there must have been a miscommunication at the store, as they have the entire range of both batteries and battery kits with chargers in stock, including the two packs @JacobZ has referenced above.
If you head to the tool shop, the packs will be kept behind the desk. Just ask them there, and they'll grab them for you.
Please let us know if you have any issues.
Mitchell
Hi again @Rogere,
My colleague has helpfully pointed out that you might have been referring to the Ozito Cordless Vacuum Cleaner PXC 18V (skin only) not being in stock. I've checked the Ozito PXC 36V (2 x 18V) Brushless Blower Vacuum PXBVS-3624 - Skin Only as well, and they currently have two on the shelf.
There are quite a few different machines, like hand vacs and bucket vacs, that fall under the description of "Ozito Cordless Vacuum Cleaner PXC 18V (skin only)", so if you could link me to the product, I can verify stock availability.
If it were the Ozito PXC 18V 10L Cordless Wet And Dry Vacuum / Inflator - Skin Only or Ozito PXC 18V Wet And Dry Vacuum Cleaner - Skin Only, they don't appear to be ranged at Bunnings Tweed Heads South so we'd need to Special Order them in for you. If you see a helpful team member at the Special Order desk they'll be able to do so.
Thank you. Just to check the model I want is PXVWDS-1818 costing $99.98. Is that in stock at Tweed?
Regards,
Roger.
The Ozito PXC 18V Wet And Dry Vacuum Cleaner - Skin Only (PXVWDS-1818) is not stocked at Bunnings Tweed Head South. If you see the team at their Special Orders desk, they'll be able to order one in for you. Alternatively the closest store with them in stock is Bunnings Burleigh Waters.
One more question - what is the best battery for this model, is it lithium, and how much does it and its charger cost?
@JacobZ provided quite a comprehensive reply to that question above, so I'd add it again here for your convenience.
Ozito offer a variety of batteries and chargers catering to different customer needs. The great thing is that the vast majority of Ozito tools are on the lithium PXC battery platform, so the batteries you choose will be compatible with a huge range of powertools, garden tools and accessories. Two options you should consider are the Ozito PXC 18V 2.5Ah Battery and Charger PXBC-25B - Kit($24.98) and the Ozito PXC 18V 2 x 4.0Ah Batteries And Multi Charger Pack ($99.98).
how do I replace the rechargeable battery which has failed. Pics attached
Hi @vmahindap,
Thank you for your question and welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you join us.
Unfortunately, Ozito no longer produces this style of battery, so a replacement battery is not an option.
You might like to check out Ozito PXC 18V 240mm Cordless Grass Trimmer Kit as a reasonably priced replacement, that comes with a battery and charger on the PXC platform, Ozito's current generation lithium-ion battery platform.
Let me know what you think and if there's anything else I can help with.
I have an Ozito 18v 4Ah PXBP-400 battery which won't charge - red & green lights flash.
Is the PXC-400 directly interchangeable with it on tools?
Hi @RickP,
Many thanks for your question about Ozito batteries and welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community.
I'm not 100% sure what product you are referring to when you say PXC-400, but PXC refers to the battery system that all current generation Ozito tools run, so I would be very surprised if it wasn't compatible.
If you can let me know which product you are referring to, I would be happy to confirm its compatibility.
You might like to check out Ozito cordless battery compatibility and Ozito - PXC 18V Battery System for some additional guidance.
I have an Ozito 1308 Battery ACClb-118 18v battery. What charger do I need for this?
Hello @Rocobobo
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's wonderful to have you join us.
Allow us to give our suppliers a call and find out if a charger is still available or at least get some information about it. As soon as we have more information about your battery, we'll get back to you.
Thank you for your patience.
Hi @Rocobobo,
I've contacted Ozito, and due to machines suiting that battery and charger not being produced for several years, they no longer have spare parts in stock. Ozito typically checks spare parts via the model number of the machine the battery goes with, so if you can supply that, I can double-check to verify there is no equivalent battery available.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Looking to replace the battery charger for the XU1 whipper snipper the two I have purchased are incorrect staff at counter said I had to order it no good no the right size
Hi @BillyRay,
Thank you for your post and welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you join us.
I have spoken to our Spare Parts team who have informed me that they will need the model number from the whipper snipper. Is it possibly XGT-018?
If you could provide this, I'll pass on the information, and they can do a search for the correct charger that can be ordered through the Special Orders desk at your local store.
Let me know how you go.
I bought 2 of those, charger & battery. The pic of the charger on the box shows 5 tangs while the one is the box has only 3. Why is it not be the same as the one in the pic?
Hi @JGB,
I apologise, but it appears that a regular charger has been placed in a box where a fast charger was supposed to be. You can see in the top right-hand corner one says 18v Li-ion and the other says 18v Fast Charger.
Sometimes "opportunistic" people will put lower quality products in the packaging of higher quality products that look similar to them. For this reason, it is often wise to double-check the product before leaving the store.
I'd suggest returning the product to your store of purchase with your receipt, explaining the issue to the helpful team members in the Tool Shop and exchanging it for the correct one.
I'm sure there won't be any issues, but I am happy to assist further if required.
