Resistant band wall anchors into studs?

I need to install 4x anchors to use resistance bands in my home gym (in the garage)

The wall available has timber studs. I'm considering this:

Anchors: https://www.bunnings.com.au/grunt-heavy-duty-anchor-point-2-pack_p4310799?store=8199

Screws: https://www.bunnings.com.au/zenith-14g-x-75mm-galvanised-hex-head-timber-screws-5-pack_p2420369

... is this the most resistant setup? I'm concerned about the horizontal load being too much for timber studs.

Also: can I use https://www.bunnings.com.au/ramset-380ml-chemset-101-plus_p2260403 to make it more reliable? Is this an appropiate product?

Re: Resistant band wall anchors into studs?

Hi @sebastian_e,

To start off, Chemset is used in brick and block walls to anchor threaded rods in place. It is not designed for use with timber and would not be appropriate in this situation.

Assuming the wall is in good condition, the products you have selected are solid and should work just fine in this application, assuming the screws are driven into the centre of the studs. In saying this, if you were to install them and then pull on your resistance bands and felt something move, even slightly, I would stop immediately.

Unfortunately, there is no real way to confirm whether the wall is ok without opening up the wall to inspect it. For this reason, I can't really say yes or no, and I would suggest you have a professional, such as a carpenter or builder, have a look just to be on the safe side.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Jacob
