IVe always wanted a space of my own to create. . We scored a garden shed which was used at a Bunnings Store in their garden center. It had to be dismantled and removed . I drew a sketch of my vision and started from there to create my vision . We recycled 95 % of the Bunnings shed .
Recycled old Bunnings Garden shed .
We used plywood wood for the interior and for the shelves and work desk .
We used boxing wood which was sanded down and used for the exterior. Also created barn doors and stable doors out of the boxing materials.
We used wool insulation in ceiling, walls and underfloor.
We used Bosch tools from Bosch sanders , drop saw , drills , Bosch nail gun , skill saw and all the hammers and nail screws needed to complete the job .
We used Dulux water based paints on the interior.
first step to clear area of trees to put down the foundation.
step 2 . We created the framework using every piece of the recycled shed .
My cuzzy Bruce created a beautiful desk and shelving all made from plywood.
Step 4
We painted the interior all White and the floor was painted white as well as the desk We used Dulux water based paint for all of the interior.
My husband and Bruce created my Mr Ed stable door for the entrance.
finally getting the exterior walls finished. And the decking
Step 7
Started putting it all together. Handles to go on drawers
Just all set up put a beautiful sea grass mat in purchased from bunnings looking beautiful 😍
From the outside looking in my space finally completed after nearly two years .❤️
my vision from my drawing came to reality.
I wanted to summit my shed ladt year but due to health issue and then 2 broken arms . As funny as it seems it was in the bunnings car park where I tripped and broke both my arms so was unable to get it completed on time to summit. I still have to have power connected but use a safe electrical system when I need to use a light . Thakyou to my husband Will Brown and my cuzzy Bruce Williams they made my dream become a reality. I'm so very lucky . I absolutely love it .
I can create my vision in a space that inspires me .
Thanks Will and Bruce and also my 2 grandkids Leshaan and Marley who helped me paint the interior.
Hello @MERLBROWN
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's wonderful to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your beautiful She Shed Creation.
I'm sorry to hear about those broken arms, I hope you are better now and have recovered without incident. The shed looks amazing and am very impressed at its size, the white paint has made it look so much more spacious. The shelving and drawers have given it such an organized look and the sea grass mat just adds that finished look. It must be so comforting to work in your shed and work on all your projects.
Again, thank you for sharing such a wonderful project.
Eric

Afternoon @MERLBROWN
Love that shed! And doubly so that you recyled so much of the original It was nice seeing the steps and also those sketches
I find it surprisingly intersting that our sketches really help make the structure the way we picture it
We may modify bits and pieces but the sketch stays true!
