Can I add extra holes to Holman drip tube?

I recently accidentally purchased the Holman 13mm Techline PC Irrigation Drip Tube instead of the Pope Drip EZE with double sided holes in it. Of course I didn’t realise until after I had cut pieces and started laying it out in my veggie beds. Is there any reason I couldn’t punch a hole in the other side of the line opposite the existing drip hole? I like the idea of it not getting clogged!

I can't see any reason why punching extra holes in your Holman 13mm Techline drip tube on the opposite side of the existing drippers would be an issue. That said, keep in mind that by doing this, you’re effectively doubling the number of outlets, which will also double the amount of water being distributed along that section of tubing. This could lead to slightly lower pressure at the far end of the line, especially if you have a long run, and may make certain areas of your veggie bed wetter than intended.

Thank you, yes that makes sense. Maybe I’ll do every couple of holes. The runs are actually short enough that I could take it apart for any blockages anyway, I guess. The longest length at the moment is only 1600mm. Thank you.
