Can you cut Besser blocks with a Ryobi 115 angle grinder?

Hi ,

it’s me again, i have bought a Ryobi 115 mm angle grinder and wanted to know if it’s fine to use this for cutting besser blocks? Also the disc included was not for masonry cutting. Can I use different brand with same size ? I can’t seem to find ryobi 115 cutting disc for masony online.

Thanks for sharing your question about cutting Besser blocks with your Ryobi grinder. I've spoken to the Ryobi technical team, and they said you are able to use the tool to cut Besser blocks. They suggested using the Kango 115mm Ultra-Thin Turbo Diamond Blade. I've also spoken to our stores tool specialist, and they recommend using this blade as well.

My best advice is to allow the cutting blade to travel naturally without using extreme force to move the blade forward. Please make sure to allow the tool to cool off to prevent damaging the motor.

Please make sure to wear personal protection such as appropriate clothing, closed toe shoes, thick gloves, safety goggles and a carbon filtered mask while cutting the Besser blocks. The cutting process will be generating a lot of dust so it's important to cut in an open area where the dust will flow away.
