1. Draw and measure site and design and check levels. Research everything on utube, Bunnings videos.
Clear unwanted items such as the old tin shed, rampant bamboo, abundant weeds and rocks galore.
Build new rear fence
Create footing for stairs
Building the stairs and installing the landscaping timbers. Paint fences and landscaping timber and deck.
Installing the corten steel garden beds and edging. Installed new sandstone.
Install weed mat and plants to prepare for stepping stones.
Using large rocks that were too big to move and were used as a feature to hide the large deck footings. We also created two new garden beds to create bit more interest to flow into the rear garden below.
Installation of gravel
Finishing touches
Hi @Spackle48,
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you with us.
Your plans were clearly well thought out and executed to perfection. I love seeing an idea on paper become a reality.
I am very impressed by the steps, that must have been a hard day's work putting them together.
Seeing how it was before compared with the beautiful space it is now; you must be very proud of your accomplishments.
Thanks for sharing your project—what a transformation!
Jacob
Good afternoon @Spackle48
I am floored at the amount of work that you have done, so worth it but wow that is some hard yacka.
Love the steps but the thing that caught my eye was your drawings
So well thought out and they match what you have installed! ![]()
Were you surprised that what you drew is what you have? I always forget my drawings as the project unfolds. then later on when facebook memories remind me I look at the drawing and go "no way"! It matches. Shifting out the old stuff and only acessing it via that ladder would have been painful.
Worth every effort!
Dave
Thanks for the feed back. landscaping that area was hard work and taught me a whole new set of skills that I never new I had.
Well done on the stairs! They, and the rest, look great.
