We find the avail water px at hose outlet is far less than a free hose (same size). Question....does the hose reel have an internal px reducer or restrictor fitted.....Hose reel is fully rolled out with no kinks or folds in hose. Thanking you.
Hello @fletch2
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your hose reel.
Generally speaking, your hose reel does not have a pressure reducer attached to it. It is designed to take on standard domestic water pressure. The only reason I can think of for the water to slow down is that somewhere along the hose reel assembly a kink has formed which is technically slowing down the water.
I propose doing a test and pulling just a bit of the hose and checking the water pressure coming out. Then pull half the length out and test again and then finally pull the entire length out. Should the pressure drop when fully extended then there is something that is getting pinched or twisted inside the assembly. I propose observing carefully and see if you can trouble shoot the hose issue.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.
