Jack purchased a Fairy House at Bunnings and decided to give it an upgrade.
It is now a very fancy Fairy Mansion, with a colourful fence, hot tub and shingle roof.
1. Wooden House from the craft isle.
Wooden House from Bunnings Craft Section
Blue House paint (water based)
PVA / Wood glue
Pop Sticks (coloured and plain)
Masking Tape
Empty cardboard tub
Fairy Bed and Fairies Welcome Sign
Balsa Wood
Paint brushes, roller and roller tray
Sturdy Scissors
Permanent Markers
First Jack did the most important step, and painted the whole House BLUE!
Jack used the Roller to get a nice even coat of paint
Lots and lots of BLUE paint
Even a coat of paint makes a difference
Jack used Pop Sticks to turn a cardboard tub into a fairy sized Hot Tub
Gluing the POP sticks onto the tub
And the essentail BLUE paint
A bit of colour with permanent markers
The Pop sticks gave us the idea to make a nice picket fence,
Jack to turn the one side of the house into a feature wall by adding a few long Pop Sticks to give it some texture
We used double sided tape to secure the Pop Stick Palings into place.
The fence kept falling down, so we got some balsa wood to reinforce it.
A bit of touch up with more Blue Paint
It looked really good with the hot tub in place. We tried to add some roofing, but the material was too stretchy and did stay in place with the strongest double sided tape, and it split when we tried to staple it in place.
We really wanted a fancy roof.
We are Happy with the final results and think that the Fairies will enjoy having a place to rest at night when they are passing through.
The Pop Stick roof shingles look amazing (Painted BLUE of course)

It's fantastic to see another one of @JacksProjects!
The vibrant blue, the hot tub and the improved roof are fantastic additions that elevate your project to another level.
You've created a wonderful sanctuary for any passing fairy to pop in and relax.
Thank you for sharing.
