Front yard makeover - part one

With our sloped block providing us with a never ending to do list, we have finally finished section one of our front yard. Must admit it’s about the 4th variation we have done.....

Our “Builder” was kind enough to leave 3 vertical sleepers Semi dug into the soil so we could access our front steps. Sadly we had to remove them as they were a hazard. After a few different variations we finally settled on a layout for the steps. Added bamboo to the sides to help hide the gaps under the steps. We also tried different plants but either felt too cluttered or too bare. It finally felt right when we put the weeping willow and 2 Ornimental Pear Trees in. To complete the area we added black mulch and rocks.
