G'day, all,
Anyone got any idea about how we can do more than 180 degree spray angle in this one, problem is the friction collars (used to adjust angle) is at about 180, so we can either do 0-180 or 360. I am not able to figure out how to do about 270 degree spray angle. Appreciate if someone can help out.
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @kapilsigtia. It's wonderful to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about the Holman impact sprinkler.
I've spoken to Holman, and I do apologise, but they have said there is an error in their packaging which they are currently addressing. It's already been brought to their attention, as you have quite rightly noted, that, due to the design, the rotation can be set to 0 to 180, and 360 degrees. There is no adjustment possible from 180 to 360 degrees.
I've spoken with Nylex, and they believe that their Nylex Impact Spike Sprinkler can be adjusted from 0 to 360 degrees. You'll note the arms of their friction collars are not 180 degrees apart, giving you a larger range of adjustability.
I do apologise for the inconvinience but it might be best to return the Holman unit and exchange it for the Nylex.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Mitchell
Thanks Mitchell, yeah it appeared to be a design flaw, I will plan to exchange it for the Nylex or the Pope plastic ones.
Thanks for the detailed clarification , cheers
Ahh I just checked the Nylex one you shared is the plastic one as well, do we have a metal one, I got 2 Pope ones already installed but wanted to try a metal one
Thanks
The only other metal impact sprinkler would be the Pope Goliath Professional Impact Sprinkler @kapilsigtia. There is the Pope Rain Tower Sprinkler, which has a metal head. However, the design of the governor clips has reverted to one with quite wide arms. It's not as bad as the 180-degree arms on the Holman, but I'm not sure whether you could quite achieve 270 degrees.
