I've moved into my first house. It needs a lot of work and my current project is one of the front garden beds.
I've pulled out the existing plants and weeds, sieved the dirt - planted some winter green manure which I've just turned over and added some compost on the top to let it break down (making use of the hundreds of paper bags from online deliveries for sheet mulching). The garden bed itself is up against the bricks of the verandah and has wooden logs along three sides which are in varying stages of decay.
My plan is to remove the logs along the three sides of the existing garden bed and replace them with sleepers. My question is whether I should be using something like a barrier edge or corflute against the brick wall? I wouldn't be increasing the height of the bed beyond the existing level
