How to get rid off lady palm by using Roundup Ultra Max?

Hi Experst

I tried to get rid off this invasive plant (I guess it is called lady palm) which is coming from my neighbor underneath the fence I used Roundup Ultra Max in concentrate does twice within two weeks period still plant is green (not yellowish)

Any help please ?

Hi @zillah,

Did you expose the inner stem to the poison or spray the plant? Palms have quite waxy leaves and thick bark, so I suspect you'd need to slash the plant to allow the poison to penetrate. The easiest way would be to cut the top off, exposing the inner stem. Apply the product immediately to the top of the cut stem. This allows the poison to be drawn into the plant, killing it.

Remember your PPE when mixing and applying the product, including a face mask, eye protection and gloves.
