Hi,
Can you give me any idea of approx costs involved to lay drainage along back fence .
I thought perhaps with agi pipe fabric on top and blue metal or something the same on the top. approx 40 to 45 feet long.
Regards
Barbara
Hi Jacob,
Quotes still coming in and I am getting ideas.
the flat agi pipe I believe drains the water away quicker than the round.
I don't think bunnings have bulk blue metal.
Quotes for job vary from $1,400 to $2,900 to $4000 to $8000
Still got a couple more this week.
Still a bit of a quandry .
Lots to think about.
Hi @Barbara35,
If speed of drainage is important, then flat agi pipe such as Megaflo Slotted Agi Pipe would certainly be worth considering.
I've also had a look, and our supplier BC Sands can supply BC Sands 1 Tonne 20mm Blue Metal Bulk Bag across NSW.
Keep us in the loop; we're happy to offer further guidance if you require it.
Jacob
Hi again,
Thanks for all of your help Jacob I will keep in touch after all quotes are in.
Kind Regards

Hi Jacob,
Still getting quotes.
Think th way to go is the 250/300x250/300 trench with 20ml blue metal then agi pipe then drainage mat then blue metal leaving this open just blue metal on top.
Then getting 100 ml storm water pipes 3x6ft cutting to size and joining and cutting into half moon so that the bottom edge of pipe was at ground level and the top moon shape would collect any surface water coming through the joins in the treated pine sleepers. This pipe would be attached to the treated pine sleepers with stainless steel brackets and stainless steel screws and then joined into access point for stormwater in garden.
Still trying.
Regards
Barbara
Hello @Barbara35
Just a friendly reminder that if you are planning on linking your agi-pipe drain to your stormwater drain you'll need the services of a plumber so that the connection will be safe and compliant to local council rules. My best advice is to make sure that your agi-pipe has the proper fall so that all the water it catches drains properly.
