Re: increase a water pressure

Hello @slezak

Thanks for sharing your question about your water pressure. I'm sorry, but you are not allowed to attach a pressure pump to your garden tap. You can only attach a pressure pump to a water tank. I propose investing in a water tank such as the Water Tank Slim Tanks Direct 3000l Beige or similar. The tank can be linked to your roof gutter drain or be topped up with your garden tap. Once the tank has reached full capacity you can then use your pressure pump to operate your irrigation set.

Can you please tell us about your irrigation set-up perhaps we can offer other suggestions? How big is your irrigation set and what type of sprinklers have you attached to the pipe work?

If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Eric

Re: How to increase water pressure for irrigation system?

Hi @slezak,

I suspect you have a problem with your mains water pressure.

  • Perform a simple test: You can do a "bucket test" by timing how long it takes to fill a 10-litre bucket from a tap. If it takes more than 30 seconds, there may be an issue with the pressure coming into your property.
  • Check the water meter: Ensure the stop tap on your water meter is fully open.

You can also check the water pressure coming out of your garden hose and compare that with the neighbors.

Contact your water supplier for a pressure test.

Cheers
