How to install edging log roll?

Hi, I am trying to DIY an edging log roll for my garden, i bought the round treated pine from Bunnings and have cut the pine for the required measurement. I need to know what could be the best way to attach each as a roll.

Re: Edging Log Roll

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @sanranaweera. It's terrific to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about installing log garden edging.

When you say "attach each roll," are you asking about how to hold them in position once they’re placed in the garden? If so, a good approach is to use edging stakes at the rear of the log roll, driven into the ground. You can then screw through the stake into the back of the log roll to keep it nice and secure.

I’d suggest placing a stake roughly every metre along the length for general support. And where two rolls meet, it’s best to place two stakes—one for the end of each roll—so they stay aligned and don’t shift apart over time.

The stakes can be driven in with a club hammer and screwed to the logs with timber screws.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
