How to lay brick garden edging?

IMG_4987.jpeg

this is my vision (I have sourced solid brick pavers so disregard the ones in my image)

what would be my first step in this? So far I’ve marked out the area and put a string line.
next I’m thinking digging out a trench and then is that when I start the work of laying the brick? Do I need to mix some concrete then place the brick on? How do I level?
please help! I only plan on doing two high and want to be able to see both layers of brick 🧱

Re: how to lay brick garden edging?

Hello @domonique

You can dig a channel in the soil to create the base for the brick edging. It does not have to be too deep especially if you wish to see both bricks on the surface. I suggest using a builder's line as a guide to make sure that your cement base is level. You can use the same line as guide when laying the bricks on the cement base. My best advice is to allow the cement to properly cure before you cover it up with soil.

If you need further assistance, please let us know.
