Hi. I am wanting to lay instant turf between the concrete and the garden beds which have been edged with 200mm wide sleepers. The area is currently covered with lilydale toppings. Obviously I will need to add soil, but I'm wondering if the lilydale needs to be dug up. Thanks
Hello @Pauline4
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's wonderful to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about laying down turf.
The general steps are to prepare the area first; it will be necessary to remove the Lilydale topping so that it does not interfere with the roots of the turf. A layer of lawn soil and conditioner will need to be added to the surface of your current soil this will give it a good foundation. Since the area is not so big you should be able to lay the turf down in a short time. My best advice is to lay the turf down as soon as possible and let it sit on top of one another.
