How to lay stepping stones in a garden?
Hello @RichPhil
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about laying stepping stones.
I recommend having a look at this discussion - Travertine pavers and gravel garden path by @TaylerMayd. It is an excellent example of how to lay steps whether it be pavers or stones. Some of the general steps such as levelling and tamping of the soil is important so that the step does not sink or move once the base is prepared. The addition of weedmat and road base is essential to stop the growth of weeds. However, if you are planting turf around the steps then you can skip this step altogether.
I also suggest having a look at this discussion as well - How to lay stepping stones on sand? by @SamCat.
