Why no spares available?
New model not so great as the previous model (outlet jams a lot), but after four years the cutting plate broke.
It needs a new cutting plate (Part SPSSH240-56)
It is a wear item (the instructions said to keep adjusting the plate against the cutting blade).
Unbelievably no spares are available (it is still a current model!) so it is a throw away item.
I probably used it twenty times a year so every shredding session cost $3.75
What a waste of the worlds resources.
Bunnings should at least carry the wear items (cutting plate and blade) to avoid such waste
