How to put together a garden basics hose reel?

I have just purchased a garden basics hose reel and followed the instructions to the letter. However the last step is impossible. The instructions say insert the elbow hose connector but while it will go in it won’t how through far enough to attach the hose connector on the outside.

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @AnnyM. It's brilliant to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about assembling a hose reel.

You're almost there! The internal connector has four inserts on it that need to be aligned with the cutouts in the reel, so it can push further through. Spin it around a bit and then push it through.
