How to repair raised garden bed?

Hi, we recently moved into a new home and inherited a beautiful garden. One area which worries me is the herb garden and the support structure. As we are new to how this was set up, is like to get some possible advice on how to repair the retaining wooden wall to avoid it from collapsing.

Here are images where you can see gap in the wall.

My thoughts are to remove large amount of the soil to allow me to hammer the wall back in. Just wanted to check where this was the right approach.

Thanks

Khoa

Re: Herb garden repair ideas

Hello @mrkhoavo

I propose improving the footing of the galvanized supports by digging a proper footing and setting the posts in concrete. This will in theory be able to hold the weight of the soil much better. Pushing the posts back will not be an effective solution as the base of the post is just in the soil and it will lean back to its original position.

If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Eric
