Hi I’m an absolute Newbie at this and keen to do a DIY set up of an automatic irrigation system for watering grass, gardenBeds & Pots some on the deck. Will appreciate help from the community starting from absolute basics. This is for a new Build where the wooden deck goes in Next week and grab the following week.
cheers
Many thanx @EricL I’ll be able to use Half circles with 1.5m throw in many areas will however be requiring some full circle/variable throw as well which I’ll have to hunt for.
Cheers

Hi @KSB
You do a flow test usually at the tap to see how many sprinklers you can run at once. The thing is, if you run a small bore pipe from the tap to whereever you restrict the flow and reduce the number of sprinklers you can run at one time. Also to make matters worse, every 90 degree bend or tee adds more drag on the flow (like I said Bernouli principle or fluid dynamics) If the flow rate you have is enough to drive the entire garden then a tee will do but I seriously doubt it. I would use 19mm (or if low flow rates 25mm) to a valve manifold and depending on the flow rate I might even use 19mm for the distribution too but usually the 13mm for distribution.
If you need to split it to zones, you could use something like this
and use adaptors to join to the poly pipe. Or if you want to get more elaborate,
