How to stop apple blossoms and leaves turning brown?

Hello, my apple blossoms ave been blooming and then turning brown and dry from the outer edges of the petals until the whole flower is dried up and dead. Same thing with the leaves.

The tree also has little black insects (aphids?). I've been spraying pyrethrum weekly but the insects are still there.

Would appreciate any advice on how to save the apple tree.
