How to treat chewed leaves on an Angel Wings plant (Senecio)?

Dear Folks

What type of pest could cause chewed leaves on an Angel Wings plant on a pot that I bought recently from Bunnings ? I couldn't see any pest ?

What insecticide should I usedIMG_2658.jpegIMG_2659.jpegIMG_2660.jpegIMG_2661.jpegIMG_2662.jpegIMG_2663.jpegIMG_2664.jpeg

Re: Chewed leaves on an Angel Wings plant (Senecio)

Hi @zillah,

It looks like the chewed leaves on your Angel Wings plant are most likely being caused by snails, slugs, or possibly caterpillars. Caterpillars often leave quite distinctive C-shaped cut-out marks when they feed, whereas the damage on your plant looks more in line with what snails or slugs tend to cause. A simple solution would be to sprinkle some snail and slug pellets over the top of the pot to knock them back. If you have pets, be sure to choose a pet-safe option such as OCP 600g Eco-Shield Organic Snail & Slug Killer, which is iron-based and safe to use around animals.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you very much Mitchel sorry I was busy I couldn't reply earlier

I have got this one can I use it ? or the one that you recommend would be better ?

If it is a caterpillar how pellets would work against it as I guess we need to spray the leaves

Thx

Those will work @zillah. For caterpillars, you can spray with something like Richgro 1L Beat-A-Bug Naturally Based Insect Spray.
