Re: How to treat curling leaves on star jasmine?

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @houdes. It's great to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about Star Jasmine care.

Can you tell us a bit more about your watering routine? How often, how much, and for how long are you watering your star jasmine plants? One thing to keep in mind is that your plants are right up against a masonry wall. Masonry can absorb and radiate a significant amount of heat, which can sometimes stress plants and cause leaves to curl. If this is the second summer and you didn’t notice this issue last year, it may not be the main cause, but it’s still worth considering because walls can store and release a lot of thermal energy.

Another possibility is some type of insect infestation. You could carefully unroll a few of the curled leaves and check for webbing or insects inside. Please post some pictures of any insects you find. If you don’t see any signs of pests, the issue is likely related to either heat stress or watering. Keep in mind that too much water can have a similar effect to too little, so it’s best to water when the soil starts to dry out rather than on a strict daily schedule. Conversely, if you’re watering once a week and the soil dries out completely in between, you may need to water more regularly to keep the plants happy.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
