What do I need to do to remedy the problem with my lemon tree
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @Priyantha1. It's terrific to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about citrus care.
Thanks for sharing your photo. It looks like your lemon tree may be suffering from citrus leaf miner damage or a possible nutrient deficiency. The curling and distorted leaves are a classic sign of citrus leaf miner — a small moth whose larvae tunnel through the soft new growth, causing damage as they feed. This kind of stress can also make your tree more vulnerable to other issues.
To help remedy the problem, start by applying a horticultural oil like Eco-Oil. It’s best to apply the spray to new growth every 5 to 14 days to kill the cycle.
Next, ensure your tree is getting the nutrients it needs. Use a fertiliser specifically formulated for citrus, such as Richgro Black Marvel Citrus & Fruit Food. Feeding regularly will strengthen the tree and help it recover more quickly.
With the right care and a bit of patience, your lemon tree should bounce back strongly.
