Should I pull out runners in Sir walter buffalo grass?

I just laid some sir Walter buffalo turf and throughout the turf is the attached picture they are quite easy to pull out what are they and should I pull them out?

Hi @chrisv

They are the Buffalo grass runners which establish your lawn.

You only need to trim them off to keep the edges neat when mowing.

As @bergs has said, these are the runners that Buffalo grass uses to spread.
