Victa power mulcher for lawn mowing?

Recently I bought Victa power Mulcher for my large size backyard . Mulcher isn’t useful for lawn mowing is it true!if it is not useful I want to return to Bunnings!

The Victa Power Mulcher 18" Mulch Or Catch Petrol Lawn Mower is a standard lawnmower that is perfect for cutting your grass and catching it. If you don't want to catch the grass, you can insert the mulching plug and leave the grass on the ground. Although it's called a "power mulcher", its primary function is lawn mowing and cutting the grass.

Mulching is good for the lawn (the old lawn clippings provide nutrients back into the lawn) and also means you arnt left with lots of grass to dispose of at the end, and the whole mowing process is easier and faster (your pushing around less weight, and dont have to stop to empty the catcher periodically)

On the flipside  - the lawn doesnt quite look as neat at the end (tiny bits of leaves etc left on lawn unless the mower is really really good at mulching to make the pieces really really small)

Up to you what your after, sounds like your mower is capable of both (most are these days)
