What lawn weed killer to use?

Hey Team,

Just looking for some advice regarding which weed killer I need to use for my lawn. I’ve recently moved into my house and I’m not too sure on the type of lawn I have - looks like a mixture? (I’m new to this 😅)

Few photos of the lawn and weeds I’m targeting.

@Joel7 Bow and Arrow is a really good broad spectrum herbicide for lawns, however, Bunnings unfortunately don’t stock it. Bunnings may stock something that would work similarly, but I searched and at least nothing in stock with the same ingredients as bow and arrow. That’s not to say one of their avail herbicides wouldn’t work.

It's great to see you've already received some advice from @jsmith11.

It looks like you've got a variety of weeds within a majority couch lawn.

Herbicides such as the one mentioned by jsmith11 will have information on what types of weeds they control and the lawns they are safe to use on. It's important to read and understand this information before using a product to ensure there are no unforeseen side effects.

Combination fertilisers and herbicides such as Yates 4L Weed 'n' Feed Hose On Lawn Weed Killer are also good, easy-to-use options that can manage common broadleaf weeds.

It doesn't look like you have any buffalo grasses in your lawn, but if so, you'll need to use a buffalo safe product such as Yates 2.4L BuffaloPro Weed 'N' Feed Hose On Weed Killer.

Whatever you choose to do, please ensure you read the label fully and follow the manufacturer's recommendations closely. It is also worth wearing protective clothing and a mask while spraying your lawn.
