XU1 battery compatibility

I have a XU1 whipper snipper purchased from Bunnings but out of Warranty

model XGT/018

The battery is not holding much charge and I would like to purchase a replacement. However it seems that the new range is not compatible. Does anyone know of an equivalent?

Hi, I have XU1 Blue blower and some batteries I found in garage (attached photos) which seems to have different kind of charger?
I bought blue charger from Bunnings that does not seem to fit these batteries.... It seems like it needs something that plugs directly into it by the looks of it?

Sorry, not my equipment but from old tenant, sitting in garage and trying to use it.

Unfortunately, the XU1 18V Cordless Blower and its battery are not compatible with XU1 blue batteries and the associated charger.

You will have to speak with the Special Orders team at your local store, who will be able to order a replacement charger for you.

The part number is 300088901033.

I note Bunnings does not stock replacement battery for the XU1 mower as it is  not compatible with the XU1 blue range. Are additional batteries available and an approximate cost?

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your XU-1 mower and its batteries.

Some XU-1 models depending on the year and make have specific batteries for them. On your mower is a model tag that has the model type and serial number of the unit. Please take a picture of this tag and show it to the special orders team. They will then find the correct battery for your mower and order it in for you. You can also ask the special orders team for a quote first before proceeding with the order.

Hi team,

I just bought some XU1 18V garden tools, went to the local bunnings and was told Bunnings do not have any batteries for them.

I thought that was odd as they are not being discontinued and are available on the shelf at all Bunnings across Australia.

The XU1 batteries in the tool store section only fit hand power tools, (like drills) not the garden tool range.

I fear someone in purchasing has made a large mistake and imported a full range of garden tools that have no battery available for them, it seems someone thought the XU1 power tool batteries would do the job but they do not fit as the gardens powertools have 3 electrical pins, and the hand powertools have 4 electrical pins on the battery.

See below lines currently in Bunnings that have no batteries available for them.

I/N: 0410871 XU1 18V Lawn Mower 3.0Ah

I/N: 0391332 XU1 18V Cordless Blower Kit

I/N: 0404140 XU1 18V Cordless Pole Pruner Hedge Trimmer 1.5Ah

I/N: 0391333 XU1 18V Cordless Hedge Trimmer 1.5Ah

I/N: 0395106 XU1 18V Cordless Chainsaw Kit 1.5Ah

I/N: 0391335 XU1 18V Cordless Grass Trimmer 1.5Ah

There has been some talk about a replacement battery for XU1 part number: 340802601020

However, store staff have advised it is not available even on a special order.

Hence, I and most of Australia now have purchased tools from Bunnings that are useless without batteries being available.

I would like to know when Bunnings will fix the mistake and have batteries available for the XU1 garden tool range, as you currently have the batteries in the kits in 1.5AH and 3AH, but do not have any batteries available at all for the actual tools.

I'm sorry to hear you've been unable to obtain a battery for your XU1 gardening tools.

I've confirmed with XU1 that those batteries are available, but the product number you've supplied is incorrect. I do apologise if we've supplied that number to you. The item number is 300088901034 for the battery and 300088901033 for the charger. If you see the Special Order team at your local store, they'll be able to order spares in for you.

I'll also pass your feedback on to our buyer, as there might have been some confusion about what the "blue" batteries cover in the range. It's certainly not our intention to leave the gardening range unsupported.
