How do I install push to open piston?
Hello!
Looking for advice to install this - I know I have to drill a perfectly perpendicular hole into the cabinet, just looking for tips and looking to learn about common mistakes people make to avoid them!
Thanks!

Re: How do I install push to open piston?
Hi @diy_vvv,
Was this a product you purchased from us, and were any installation instructions included? Most of our push-to-open mechanisms mount onto the inside of the cabinet rather than needing to be inserted into a drilled hole, which would be significantly easier to install.
Since this model is designed to sit inside a hole, drilling perfectly perpendicular will be the biggest challenge. I’d also be mindful of how thick the panel is and how deep the insert section of the piston goes. If you're drilling into the edge like in your photo, it doesn’t leave much room for error on either side, so accuracy is key to avoid punching through the surface.
Go slow and check your angle from a couple of directions as you drill.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
