Hello! The previous owner of my house deliberately removed a laminated shelf in the pantry and I’m wondered which products to use to securely reattach the shelf to the surrounding shelves and wall? The final photo is how the shelf should sit securely. Thank you!
Hello @court1
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your pantry shelf.
It appears that the shelf was just anchored using silicone sealant. To re-attach the shelf in the same manner, I suggest cleaning the edge first with a Trojan Safety Scraper With 5 Blades. The scraper will allow you to trim off all the excess silicone used on the shelf and wall. Once you've cleaned off the shelf and wall, I suggest using Selleys 250g Liquid Nails Clear Construction Adhesive on the bottom of the shelf and in between the other shelf.
Once the adhesive cures you can then seal the top using Parfix 300g White Bathroom And Kitchen Silicone.
Here is a handy step-by-step guide: How To Silicone Seal A Bath (the techniques used are applicable to your project)
