Hi all
does anyone know the exact colour code for kaboodle poppyseed.
i know the paint and finish impact the outcome, but my main concern at the moment is colour match.
my local Bunnings tried hard, many times, to match their in store colour sample, but now I have done a full space test, directly adjacent to the kitchen cabinetry, the final colour just misses.
i would have assumed Bunnings have somewhere in their inventory an actual colour code for their product?
cheers

Greatly appreciated.
Hi @wadelewis13,
Having contacted Kaboodle's technical team, they have unfortunately confirmed that there is no colour code available for this product.
I spoke with Taubman's, who have created colour codes for other Kaboodle products in the past, they have informed me that all they did was check the colour with a spectrometer, the same as the paint team in store would have done.
Did the paint team use their spectrometer on the sheet material?
While colour matching is fairly accurate, it is not perfect.
Can you describe how the colour misses? Does it seem less vibrant or maybe too vibrant? Could the sheen level of the paint be the issue? How many coats were applied?
If you have any photos you could share, this may also help us work towards a solution.
Jacob
I need a couple more coats on them, but this photo under completely artificial (and relatively consistent) light to show the best example. Under sunlight they are very different, but this will be the amplifying effect of the different sheen between the Kaboodle wraps and the low sheen paint finish on the kick.
As you can see the kicks have a touch of lighter blue/green coming through them as opposed to the colder blue/grey. The green/turquoise is even is more pronounced in natural light.
The guys in store tried to colour match using multiple methods using the sheet material. They suggested their spectrometer struggles due to the texture of the Kaboodle finish. They had about 10 attempts.
Hello @wadelewis13,
I've spoken to the Kaboodle customer service team, I'm sorry but they don't have the CMYK/RGB colour code for Poppyseed.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.
