Can't wait to get this dishwasher in, with two kids, I spend at least an hour a day washing dishes by hand!
But I'm clueless. To connect the inlet hose I need a double valve thing for under the sink. ChatGPT tells me all dishwasher hoses are the same - 25mm or 3/4" so I must buy one with a 25mm valve (don't know if I'm using the right word).
Bunnings sell tap/dishwasher connector things but not 25mm. Maximum they sell is 20mm.
So it doesn't make sense to me that all dishwasher hoses are apparently 25mm but Bunnings wouldn't sell ones for that size.
I asked in store but was dismissively waved off to the hose section with no indication as to what I was supposed to buy.

hi
the one in your image is correct
one side 15mm for your kitchen tap and one 20mm for dishwasher
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @Clueless1990. It's wonderful to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about dishwasher connections.
@chriscam is on the money there, and typically dishwasher connections suit a 20mm threaded connection, as is the case with that tap.
Dishwasher inlet hoses are 20 mm BSP, but BSP sizes are not measured across the outside of the threads. If you put a ruler or tape measure across the threads, the outside diameter will usually come out around 26 to 27 mm, which often gets rounded and described as “about 25 mm”.
The 20 mm refers to the nominal pipe size, not the physical outside diameter of the threaded fitting. Because of that, measuring across the threads will always make it look much larger than 20 mm.
So if it is a standard Australian dishwasher hose, and it looks roughly 25 to 27 mm across the threads, that is exactly what you would expect for a 20 mm BSP connection.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Mitchell
Thank you Mitchell!
Good to know why the 20mm is correct. I'll grab one of those and fit the dishwasher next Friday.
